URBANDALE, Iowa–Puppies became artists on Thursday all in the name of charity.

The Puppy Jake Foundation held a painting party to create some one-of-a-kind art work.

The foundation brought all of its 23 service dogs in training to canine craze to paint pictures.

The foundation trains service dogs for military veterans.

The dogs had their tails and paws painted and got to wag and walk to make the custom pieces.

All the art work will be auctioned off to help raise money for the foundation.

“We donate our dogs to military veterans with PTSD and mobility impairment. We don`t charge them so we want to raise as much money as we can so we can get more dogs and help more veterans,” says Puppy Jake Foundation CEO Becky Beach.

The dogs’ art work will be auctioned off on April 23rd at Sticks studio in Des Moines.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and is the foundations biggest fundraiser of the year.
